Our Ministry
Our ultimate desire is to show
that Jesus is the Promised Messiah and that He has provided the way
whereby mankind can be reconciled to God and to each other.
EVANGELISM AND DISCIPLESHIP
We believe evangelism in the Holy Land
will only be as effective as the maturity of the believers living
there. To that end, we desire to see effective discipleship.
Light to Israel
(LTI)
raises and provides regular support to individuals doing effective
ministry in Israel. Our leadership team believes that
sometimes it is best to support those already doing ministry instead
of sending someone who needs to learn the language and culture
before they can effectively minister to the people. Often
those who are doing effective work are hindered by the lack of funds
and resources to do the work. This results in much time spent
in deputation away from the ministry as there are few Christians in
Israel to support missionary work. Our desire is to come along
side of these special servants of the Lord already in the land to
support the work God has led them to do.
One of our "supported" team staff is ministering among Russian Jews
who have recently immigrated to the Land. Another has
developed a program teaching English as a second language.

Training Conferences and Ongoing
Mentoring
Many pastors of congregations in Israel struggle in their role as
leaders. Some came into their roles as pastors after starting
a Bible study in their home. The group grew and soon the home
was too small, so a room needed to be rented and a congregation was
born. Other men sensed the Lord's leading to plant
congregations but they didn't know where or how to start.
While these leaders may have a good
knowledge of the Scriptures and theology, they often lack the
pastoral skills needed to lead a congregation.
The LTI leadership team has been
involved in planting, pastoring, and training of congregation
planters in both Jewish and non-Jewish communities. We believe
the Lord now wants us use our experience to train and mentor pastors
in Israel.
At present, we conduct an annual
training seminar for pastors and key lay leaders in the Land. We are
also mentoring pastors and future congregation planters. Our
ultimate goal is to develop a congregation planting network in the
land where it all began 2000 years ago.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Through our educational programs
Light to Israel
provides speakers, literature and other resources to help the church
understand God's concern for the people of Isael. We
believe as Christians understand the heritage of our faith and the
prophetic future of the Israel, they will be moved to help and
truly engage with the people in that part of the world. The staff of
Light to Israel is available to bring special messages on
prophecy and the Jewish roots of our faith.
